Flour Tortillas

2 cups flour

1 tsp. salt (or less)

1 tsp. baking powder

2 Tbl. shortening (lard) (Schweine Schmalz)

1/2 cup warm water

Mix all ingredients. Use a food processor if available.

Make into a ball and let rest 15 minutes.

Divide ball into smaller balls. Flatten into round-like shapes.

Cook on a HOT griddle 30 seconds per side. Use no grease on the griddle.
